My Wishlist purchases for September are the Indigo Girls' first album and the Babylon 5 novelization of Thirdspace. (There will be an upcoming review of In The Beginning).

It's a real good thing that TD and I found each other, I'm not sure who else would get it!

• Babylon 5 Season 3 is love.
• Marcus! ::huggles Marcus::  Jason Carter is one of the few actors in the show who can make JMS's sense of humor actually funny.
• I wonder what it says about tea_drinker77 and me, that Bablyon 5 is our comfort food. We abandoned our favorite season of Buffy (Season 5), because the Joyce storyline is too close to the bone for us now; ( Read more... )

Life continues to be fucking frustrating. I didn't get the job, tea_drinker77 's grandmother is slowly dying, and our fridge is broke. Also, while her mother was out of town visiting said grandmother, the carbon monoxide detector in her house went off so the cats had to spend 2 and half days in the garage till it could get sorted out.

So I'm up to Chapter 9 in To Dream in the City of Sorrows, and I'm really enjoying it, but I've suddenly realized why Sinclair doesn't work as a character, even on paper: he's the Gary Stu to beat all Gary Stus. I mean, listen to this dialogue from Jenimer, explaining to Sinclair why he's the new Entil'Zha:

Difficult weekend, and so far this week isn't easing up any. Very up and down, emotionally. I guess that's to be expected. I'm being really hypervigilant -- I haven't done that in a while and it's really frustrating. TD's very good at talking me down though.
